What makes Kasey's music lessons different?

Kasey Ball Productions takes a student-centered approach to music instruction. Rather than putting every student through the same curriculum, lessons meet people where they are and focus on what they actually want to learn.

I specialize in New Orleans horn instruction, including trumpet, trombone, and saxophone, with instruction in New Orleans jazz, brass band traditions, second-line playing, improvisation, soul, funk, blues, and R&B.

Music theory instruction is also available for students of any instrument, covering everything from the fundamentals of reading music, scales, chords, harmony, and rhythm to jazz theory, improvisation, arranging, composition, and ear training.

Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to music after years away, preparing for an audition, trying to learn a specific song, or an experienced musician looking to expand your skills, the goal is the same: help you learn the music you actually want to play.

My approach is practical and adaptable. If you want to learn New Orleans brass band music, we'll work toward that. If you want to improvise, we'll build those skills. If you want to understand the theory behind the music you're already playing, we'll start there.
